In the summer of 2009 something important in the era of music ended. Everybody from DJs and musicians, simple people and politicians, celebrities and little kids in the street realized that something big ended when Michal Jackson died. Something big in terms of music and the fabric of pop culture we take for granted today. Talking about Michael Jackson’s impact on world culture in a short blog entry is unfair, there is too much to say.
The death of the King of Pop was a tragedy and everyone felt it. Rock musicians and pop musicians, whether they like it or not, have been influenced by the man’s gift. Anybody remotely serious about music cannot deny the presence of Michael Jackson because a figure so gargantuan in talent and impact cannot be easily skipped. DJs around the world who have seen the magic working on the dance floor when they put on MJ, mourned and staged countless tributes to the King. It’s not difficult with Jackson, because nearly every song is a winner. People created michael jackson website all over the world. Of course his legacy will live forever with millions of children around the world still growing up dancing to Billie Jean and Black or White. But an era is over. And nothing will ever be the same.
